The Children's Home Society of Idaho has been serving the children of this community since 1908, first as an orphanage and more recently as a treatment facility known as the Warm Springs Counseling Center. We are a private, non-profit organization that has a tradition of providing the very best mental health services to children and their families, the majority of who are from very low-income households, and who receive our services through a subsidized fee. The financial support that we receive from the community makes this service possible for all children, regardless of financial circumstance.
In August 2004, the Children's Home Society of Idaho joined forces with the Junior League of Boise to create a new program - The Bridge - aimed at improving the way children enter our foster care system through Child Protective Services.
Your gift will directly benefit children in the Treasure Valley through the Warm Springs Counseling Center and The Bridge, as virtually 100% of all contributions reach the children or families who live and receive services right here in this community. We are not nationally affiliated, and we are not a United Way Agency, so 100% of each dollar donated goes to direct services. Through our work, we provide a crucial link in helping our clients learn to develop the skills needed to identify solutions to the problems they encounter in their daily lives.
Tax Deductions and Tax Credits
Your gift is tax deductible on your federal tax return. Also, if you pay Idaho income taxes, contributions to the Children's Home Society of Idaho are eligible for additional tax credits for gifts to youth, rehabilitation and educational facilities. Please consult your tax advisor for more information.
