Children’s Home Society to Benefit from Scentsy Teeter-Totter-a-Thon
September 21, 2011The Children’s Home Society of Idaho will be one of seven nonprofits to benefit from Scentsy’s 84-Hour Teeter-Totter-A-Thon.
The event kicked off yesterday at the new Scentsy campus on Eagle Road and will run through Friday. Event organizers hoped to raise $100,000 but announced at the kick off that $150,000 had already been raised, and more is on the way, they said.
To celebrate its seventh year in business, Scentsy, an Eagle, Idaho-based wickless candle company, is hosting an 84-hour Teeter-Totter-A-Thon to raise money for local nonprofits. Orville and Heidi Thompson, the founders of Scentsy, are donating $84,000 and are building the pot through individual donations.
